One company. Nobody knew it.

FloSports has built a powerful portfolio of sport-specific streaming platforms, including FloRacing, FloWrestling, and FloHockey, but that success came with an unintended consequence. Fans knew their sport's platform intimately, yet had little awareness that FloSports was the company behind all of it.

This created two compounding challenges. For users, the lack of a clear brand umbrella made cross-sport discovery nearly impossible. A FloHockey subscriber had no easy path to FloTrack or FloGrappling. For the business, potential marketing partners and investors had no single destination to understand the full scale of the FloSports portfolio.

The old site did little to bridge that gap. FloSports needed a flagship destination that could tell the complete brand story, showcase every vertical in one place, and serve both fans and business audiences equally well.

This project was never supposed to ship.

The original brief was simple: test whether AI could take a Figma design and produce a production-ready site end-to-end. FloSports had just gained full access to Claude Code a month prior, and I wanted to understand what it was actually capable of.

One of our designers handled the initial Figma wireframes. My job was to take those designs and see how far Claude Code could run with them. So I started feeding designs and components into Claude Code and iterating in real time.

What happened next changed how I think about building for the web entirely.

Claude Code did not just generate code. It reasoned through component structure, understood design intent, and produced clean, production-quality Angular 19 with a headless WordPress CMS powering the content layer. What would have taken weeks as a traditional build was taking days.

By the end of the first sprint, it was clear this was no longer a prototype. The quality was there. The architecture was solid. FloSports had its new flagship site, and I had a completely new way of working.

What started as an experiment became FloSports' new flagship.

The finished site launched as a fully production-ready platform, integrating directly with FloSports' sport verticals, streaming schedule, company news, investor-facing pages, and a live API layer connecting to FloSports' broader ecosystem. Content is managed entirely through a headless WordPress CMS, giving the editorial team full control over the site.

Most importantly, flosports.tv finally does what the brand needed. It tells the complete FloSports story in one place, showcasing every vertical clearly, speaking to fans, partners, and investors alike.

The project also proved something bigger internally. An entire production-grade site, built nearly solo using Claude Code, delivered faster than any traditional approach would have allowed. It set a new bar for what one person with the right tools could ship, and became the foundation for FloSports' AI-native development model going forward.

This project directly contributed to a Q1 2026 Award within product & engineering.
